What is Included?

When you book with Eaton Medical Services you will receive the following as standard:

Senior Clinical Oversight

When you book Innes, you get an experienced frontline clinician, with experience in both urgent and critical care settings. Innes can provide clinical leadership for your event and will happily liaise with external service providers on your behalf.

Emergency Medications

Innes will arrive with all of the necessary emergency medications carried by UK ambulances, including controlled drugs and Penthrox, plus a range of common 'over the counter' medications.

Medical Equipment

Innes has access to the very best medical equipment, allowing him to effectively manage a huge range of emergency scenarios.
  • Full ALS kit, including EZ-IO & endotracheal intubation
  • Trauma kit equivalent to that carried by UK ambulances
  • Zoll X Series patient monitor
  • ParaPAC Plus 310 CPAP/ventilator
  • Laerdal suction unit
  • A range of basic dressings and wound closure options

Documentation

All patient interactions are recorded electronically (using Salus3). Data from this can be easily  shared (subject to GDPR restrictions) after the event to assist with your internal auditing and reporting processes. Patients can be provided with either an electronic or printed copy of their notes, as can onward service providers.

Extras

Treatment Tent

Outdoor events usually benefit from some form of shelter for medical use. Innes can provide a treatment tent/shelter for your event if required.

There are two sizes to choose from:
  • 3m x 3m
  • 4m x 8m

The following equipment can also be provided:
  • Chairs
  • Tables
  • Folding beds
  • Lighting
  • Heating
  • Fridge
  • Mains power
Please note that Innes does not currently own, or have the means to transport, a trolley bed.

i-STAT Analyser

Athletic events, festivals, and events with a large transient population may need to offer some form of critical care provision.
The i-STAT blood gas and biochemistry analyser allows a new level of pre-hospital care to be provided to the sickest of patients.
The following tests can be performed anywhere, with results available in under 3 minutes:
  • Blood pH
  • pO2/pCO2
  • HCO3
  • Base Excess
  • Lactate
  • Na/K/Cl
  • Anion Gap
  • iCa
  • Urea/Creatanine
  • Glucose
  • Hb/Hct

Please note that the test cartridges used in the i-STAT come at significant cost, and a charge of £25 per cartridge is made in addition to supplying the unit (2 cartridges are typically used per patient)

Other tests (such as Troponin) are available - please contact Innes to discuss pricing for additional cartridges if required.

4x4

We do have a Volvo XC60 AWD vehicle available for events on less accessible terrain. This can be fitted with magnetic 'Paramedic' signage if required.
Innes is happy to convey patients around the event footprint, but they need to be stable and ambulatory enough to safely travel sitting in the back of a car.
The vehicle is not insured as an ambulance, so we cannot convey to hospital, or use any blue lights on the public highway.
The daily charge is to cover any cleaning costs, as fundamentally this is our family car!

Cycle Response

If you would like Innes to cover a wide area (not accessible to a vehicle), he can arrive equipped with his bicycle!
Fitted with medical panniers, Innes will still be able to carry full ALS equipment, including medical gases.
Our bikes are fitted with blue lights and a siren system for making progress through congested areas.

Don't worry, I don't wear Lycra...
